The course curriculum of BA] {Hons.} (English) is focused to teach us the linguistic skills of English from the very basic to the top. In this course we study about the development of the English language and literature into modern society through drama, poetry, novel and plays. Further we also have to choose a combination of two subjects to study for which are not related to English like I have economics and philosophy.

The placement opportunities of my college was good. However the opportunities for college placements was limited. And most of the students searched for job or internships opportunities on their own. Also college do provide with career guidence.

The fees structure of my college is affordable not for just the bourgeious but also for impoverished students. The total fees of three years that we have to pay in my course is Only INR 4,200/- and also scholarships opportunities are available.

Scholarships opportunities are available for SC/ST students. And students who belong to poor backgrounds are granted tuition fee-concession. And meritorious students are provided with scholarships from the college.

College also conducts with various extracurricular activities and the students also achieve awards on the basis of performance excellence. Students are even encouraged to participate at state level championships such as in West Bengal State Inter College Championship and Burdwan District Inter College Sports & Games Championship.

Admission in the college is based on merit in the qualifying examination (10+2) and application is filled online for admission and the fees of application is Rs. 200 The basic eligibility criteria for admission of BA] {Hons.} (English) is to be qualified in the last year of intermediate education (10+2) with aggregate minimum of 40%

The faculty of my department is well qualified . The teachers have done either M.phil or PHD. They teach us with great zeal and are very helpful to us. They are adroit and proficient with there subjects and have great experience.
