The college is one of the premium colleges in Eastern India, and industry oriented studies are a priority here. Students have fun as the step in to the outside world for the first time Professors are friendly and the management is forgiving and considerate.

AIEEE AIR- 25157 STATE RANK - 517. The college is near to my residence and also mechanical engineering branch is considered "Royal" in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Apart form core mechanical subjects like theory of machines, machine design, production, strength of materials a lot of newer subjects are included like CAD-CAm, Finite elemental, method, etc.
Internships Opportunities
Companies like DRDO, IOCL, BPCL among others like TATA Steel, IBM, etc came for internship programs. A few selected students even did internship at ALICE, Geneva, Switzerland.
Placement Experience
Total 100% placement was conducted in our year. Students got selected for PSUs like NTPC, DRDO, HAL, IOCL, BPCL, etc. MNCs like IBM, Seimens, etc had also conducted campus recruitment.

Fee Structure And Facilities
In our times it was just 15000 a year for 4 years for core engineering branches and 35000 a year for non-core branches.It was absolutely feasible. But recently Ive heard that the fee structure is revised.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have availed any scholarship or loan facilities But have heard that the college has ties with SBI for providing students loan at subsidized interest rates.
Campus Life
College was fun. Studies and entertainment went hands in hands. There were 9 hostels then (now there are more) and each hostel hosted a "Hall night" annually. Many Technical fests were hosted apart from the main technical fest and students got involved in them thoroughly.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms were quite clumsy and usually 3 students shared a room until 3rd year. A single room for every student was allotted for 4th year.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is divided in chapters according to regions. Strong brotherhood exists between all alumnus and we help each-other in times of needs. There is a website for alumni and also we get regular updates through emails.
Exam Structure
Semester wise exam for all subjects with 30% allotted for class tests and performance. Practicals were conducted in specialty labs. Credit weight system was followed for calculating CGPA.
Faculty
Wonderful faculty with friendly professors who had many papers internationally published. They were patient in dealing with individual student's needs and problems.
