Course Curriculum Overview

Ba hons history is a honors level course which has the duration of 3 years and follows semester system of education. The structure of the course is flexible and well organised and requires a lot of deep study. The days are chilled and exams are also not very tiring.

Placement Experience

The institution is very good in its education and also organises various programs for the enhancement and development of the students. However, there are no internships and job opportunities for the students. Most of the students opt for higher studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of ba history hons is very feasible and not at all high or expensive. The total cost of the course is around 10 thousand INR. Also, the institution focuses on quality education of the students. Hence, the fee structure is affordable.

Campus Life

The institution focuses not only in its education but also on its extracurricular activities. There are several sports activities and competitions. Debates, elocutions are also organized. Various days and festivals are also celebrated. Cultural fest and programs are also organised.

Admission

Falakata College offers undergraduate courses in Arts. It is affiliated to University of North Bengal. In order to get admission in this institution in BA hons history, the student should have completed class 12 with at least 45 percent marks and then they will have to apply and the students will be selected on merit basis.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I love computer science so I chose this department. The teaching in this department is very good and the labs are also very good. We have many exams in our semester.It would have been better if we had studied our theory paper a little better. You need a minimum 60% score for eligibility. You need to fill up forms in December or June and you get the application by simply writing the course name and college name. Here you don't get and reservation benefits. The time is short I think so and they need to give us about 3 hours for the exam....Read More
