I chose English literature because I have an interest in this subject and the professors are really the best ones. There were 50 students and 4 professors. Each of them took the class regularly. The professors are highly qualified.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college provides scholarships to SC St candidates there are various schemes for minorities and also many scholarships for girls like Kanyashree. Many students take this opportunity. but sadly this college does not provide job opportunities.

Campus Life

There is a fresher's party there is one big annual party that the college organizes. And if we talk about the library then I must say there is a lot of noise. I tried to read many times but couldn't read because there were students enjoying the free wifi.

Admission

The college is good, the ambiance is great and if love sports then this college is for you, this college has football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, khokho, etc teams which perform at the state level. And the professors are really great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Review of the college where i spend three long years and gathered every knowledge that is available there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.

A overview of Falakata College

You need a minimum 60% score for eligibility. You need to fill up forms in December or June and you get the application by simply writing the course name and college name. Here you don't get and reservation benefits. The time is short I think so and they need to give us about 3 hours for the exam....Read More
