My INFID Journey

The college is amazing. It was a dream to pursue this course and to be able to do it was wonderful. I learned so much and became as a fashion designer in this time. The campus and the faculty are really good as well.

This course is designed to provide an amazing overview of the fashion industry. We learn subjects like product development, marketing, merchandising etc. We also develop our own collection to showcase our uniqueness.

There is no placement cell as is the case in all design schools. We get guidance from the college in building our portfolio and students are also recommended to firms for placements. Many students start their own business.

The total fees for the three year fashion design course is Rs 63,000. This is very affordable and inexpensive for this course compared to other colleges where the fees can go upto a few lakhs. The experience is worth it.

There are many design and fashion workshops and shows where we participate and show our work. We celebrate all the festivals and days of national importance. We also play a wide range of sports with our friends.

I applied for the course of Fashion designing through the online portal. The requirement was a 10+2 or equivalent pass certificate with atleast 50% marks. I had decided a long time back on my choice of subject for graduation and was certain for fashion designing.

The faculty is very interactive and cooperative. They have been design professionals themselves and all of them have their graduation and post graduation in fashion designing. They guide us but also give us the freedom to express our individuality.
