Course Curriculum Overview
The duration of the course is 4 years and the aim is to prepare the candidate sin serving the humanity through medical treatments with the quality of affection. The curriculum revolves around various subjects related to Biochemistry , nutrition, physiology, genetic basis of inheritance, human disorders and anatomy etc. The course id for those people who generally wants to serve the society by caring and treating the patients and developing the standards and critical thinking required for the practice of midwifery and professional nursing.
Placement Experience
During my batch, our college has recorded 80% placement package and the highest salary offered was between 7 to 8 LPA. The students were offered roles like health nurse to record the symptoms o the patients performing diagnostic test and operating medical equipment. Most of the students in our course got internships in hospitals like Apollo, Aims, Safdharjung, CMC and JIPMER. The average stipend which was offered was 8000 per month.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The tuition fees is 810 and the university fees is around 13400 and the other annual fees charges are 10,000 including the uniform. The hostel and mess fees annually is 34200 which I consider very feasible seeing the fees structure of other colleges.
Campus Life
Workshop on clinical trials, case controls study, principal and practice of epidemiology, economic basis of health care in India etc are held on a regular basis. The annual fest happens every year in which many of the students participate in competitions like dancing singing, singing, painting, drama, clay modeling etc. Inter college sports festival is also held so that the students can participate and win medals.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel of the college are very clean and well maintained with partially furnished rooms provided with recreational activities. We also have access to WiFi facilities, water coolers, 24x7 electricity, laundry and medical facilities. The canteen and mess food is quite delicious and healthy. We have a spacious library equipped with rare books, magazines and journals about every course. The college has garden with seasonal and ornamental flowers.
Admission
The student must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in chemistry, biology and physics. 40% for the reserved category.The admission are merit based and the students have to clear an admission written test for the same three subjects including journal aptitude. Their will be 50 questions on each of the subjects with a total of 200 questions. Moreover, there is no negative marking. My name appeared in the second merit list and after going through the counselling session, I was granted admission in the college.
Faculty
The teachers are well qualified and experienced in their professions. Most of the teachers are the alumni of the college, so they provide us more details about the hospitality sectors. They personally clarify doubts during discussions and tutorials in the class. Our teachers give more emphasis on industrial exposure than theoretical concepts so that the students learn the art of nursing and stand out both national and state level.
