Amazing thrilling and learning stay at IITK.

The college management is mostly good, although it depends on the department in which you are but in general, everything is good you make a lot of friends. The hostel life is amazing. I loved the hostel life and will never forget it.

I took GATE which is held at all India level.I got a score 657 and rank 538.I opted for IITK because it is famous for its academics, specially research. Moreover, I was interested in robotics and IITK has the famous centre of mechatronics.

Students have to take courses in the first year and carry out the thesis work in the 2nd year.In the first year, we have 2 semesters. In the first semester, there are 3 compulsory courses and 1 elective.In the 2nd sem, all 4 are elective.

Almost all the major companies visit the college for placement as well as internship including TI, NI, Airbus, Tata Motors, Oracle, Samsung, etc. They offer good stipend upto 15000 per month.

The placement is no doubt good for IITK. I dont need to say more in this section. Think of a big company name and you will find it here. Rolls Royce, Airbus, TATA, Oracle, Samsung, Microsoft, John Deer, Saint Gobain and many many others. You dont need to worry about placements.

There are sooo many festivals throughout the year.Technical fest - Techkriti is our annual technical fest inviting students from all over India and a lot of prizes. Cultural fest - Antaragni is the annual cultural fest and one of the biggest in Asia, again inviting students from all over the India. Sports fest - Udhghosh is our annual sports fest. Internal fest - Impressions is an internal fest which is mainly for the freshers.

The fee is very reasonable for masters it is around 32000 per year. We also get a stipend of 12000 per month so fees is not an issu if you spend properly, you can actually save money so definitely the fee structure is reasonable.

The masters students get a stipend of 12000 per month for which they have to the TA work. The TAs need to prepare questions, answers for the concerned faculty. They might also be assigned some other tasks such as handling addmissions and checking answers of exams.

If you are interested in extra curricular activities, be it dance, sports, robotics, electronics, debates, etc, this is the best place. You get a chance to everything here this was the best thing I found here.

Hostels are good with rooms for all the students every hostel has a separate mess, canteen and a general store. The rent is around 800 excluding the mess charges the mess charges are 1500 per month.

Awesome alumni network being a member of alumni contact program, I know the amount of work invested in it and the vast network that IITK has. The alumni is very good and we get a lot of donation every year.

It is not actually fixed sometimes the exams can be very hectic and sometimes you get a lot of gap between two exams.

Faculty is quite good and experienced.Labs are very good and equipped with all the latest equipments apart from the faculty, we have TA who you can ask any questions and doubts in case the TA can't clear the doubts, you can always shoot a mail to the faculty directly for anything.
