CAT, 97.82. This was my best choice. The MBA course is one that I wanted to take up. IIM L is the 4th best amongst the IIMs in India. Hence the decision to join it.
Course Curriculum Overview
It is rigorous, fast paced, all in one. You see life pass by. All round subjects. Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Strategy. Case based learning. The curriculum should have more industry visits. The cases that are made to solve in these cases are mostly ones from the IVY league business schools. The students are allowed to be a part of clubs and committees too. These are the extra curricular activities that they get involved in.
Internships Opportunities
Yes it provides an internship. The experience is something like this. There is Day 0, Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and so on. Companies with initial CV shortlists come on Day0 and the rest including GDs come on the later days.
Placement Experience
Almost similar to Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. There are a few companies which come in these three but not in Lucknow. But it doesn't really matter much coz the number is very little.
Fees and Financial Aid
Did not avail. But yes there are a lot of scholarships that one can avail For student Exchange, OBC, Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribes.
Alumni/Alumna
They are helpful but can be improved. Alumni conclaves should be held more often Alums are helpful but sometimes it's a bit difficult to approach them.
Exam Structure
Quizzes, mid terms and end terms. There are project submissions, assignments, papers, extra curriculars to handle in a single day. Sleep is something which people can still manage after all this.
