For all those home lovers out there, this is the golden opportunity for you all-distance education from a well reputed institution. Its also the first choice of those living in remote areas who cannot afford the cost of living outside cities for their studies.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very efficient and productive. It never felt hectic because the questions were easy and they used to give exam centres near your home so it was very convenient for us. Also, the results came quite early.
Placement Experience
Placement opportunities are very high because SMU is a very well reputed college. I am a doctor today at a well established hospital just because of that SMU name imprinted on my resume. It really was and I think still is quite well reputed.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is moderate. Neither too expensive nor very feasible. My fees was 3.5L per year for my 5 years MBBS course. But if you put more thought on this, you can easily save scores of money which could have been spent had you been living in a hostel or P. G.
Campus Life
I learnt, along with my academics-singing. I polished my singing skills so that I would be having a backup in case everything didn't work out. That's the beauty of Distance Education - you can hone your passions without compromising academics.
Admission
The admission process was quite simple. All you require is 10+2 with 50% + NEET. Rest of the admission process was quite smooth and comfortable,because obviously all you need is a chair and a computer to do it.
Faculty
I used to find it difficult to deal with tuitions as well as school from high school times only. Hence i wanted a college where I can be free from those extra times that used to get wasted at school. And sikkim Manipal University is best for this! I can opt for teachers that I like through coaching without worrying about college.
