Course Curriculum Overview
Our course curriculum revolved around the field of dietetics and nutrition. It is a 2-year course and exams were conducted on semester basis. The exam times were not hectic as I loved the subjects. We got to work in the food lab as well for our practicals.
Placement Experience
For my course, there are no placements and internships. I would be eligible for a job in any hospital, healthcare facility, research institute, and academic institution. Even though there are no job guarantees, the prospects are high.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As I got admission through state quota, the fee structure for my course is 24,000/- per year. It is nominal as compared to other colleges so I did not feel bad about it. In fact, the low fees is one of the main attraction points of this college.
Campus Life
There are not a lot of extra curricular activities in this college. Although the environment is calming. There is a library for us where I spend a lot of time reading books and gaining more insight. We have training sessions and workshops on the latest medical developments in the country.
Admission
The college is affiliated by WBUHS so I had to give the West Bengal Post Graduate Applied Nutrition Admission Test Examination. With only 20 seats available, it was hard to get selected but I studied and got my admission letter!
Faculty
The faculty is helpful and kind. They have never said no to any of my question and always helped me out when I needed it. Every faculty in this college is not only well-read but they help us prepare notes before exams so that we are prepared.
