Munnar Catering College - [MCC] is a college in Trivandrum, and is affiliated to NCHMCT. It offers courses of hospitality, tourism and management. The campus is vast and includes hostel, library, labs, and a swimming pool.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum includes industrial visits because that experience is necessary for this course. Exam structure includes both theory and practical. We were also assessed on projects, internal tests and research.

Placement Experience

Placements are a big deal for famous colleges like this, and for students as well. Which is why many big hotels would come to appoint us like Coconut Lagoon, Green Park, Harbour View Residency, Leela Palace, Mariott Chennai.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for one year for this integrated scheme ?1.12 lacs, thus for 3 years, it is ?3.36 lacs. Registration fee and application fee have to be paid when the first year stars. The level of fees is moderate since other colleges charge more or less the same amount.

Campus Life

Sports and arts are encouraged. Football field, basketball court, and such are there for students to have a balanced life. Industrial visits helped us get out of the daily life for a while. Festivals are celebrated with enthusiasm.

Admission

There was no entrance exam for this integrated course scheme, which offered me Diploma along with a Degree. After 10+2, I registered online for this scheme and the merit list declared the result. This course offers more benefits over general B.Sc.

The faculty were very dedicated towards us. They tend to reach out and help in all the ways they can. They would know exactly how to strike a balance between being professional and friendly. They were highly qualified and had great field experience.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
