Course Curriculum Overview

This 3-year course taught me the basics of the food industry, its management, and tourism. Apart from that, the course also taught me English and Human Resource. At the end, we have to do a research project.

Placement Experience

The college has a placement program and there is a compulsory internship program for students who are in their last year. Most of the students get easily placed after the course in their internship company only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course fees is Rs.3,38,800/-. The fees is really feasible if you are the residents of the city. In case you are outsider and want hostel facility, the fees for every year is Rs.96,000/-. Apart from that, we have to pay exam, admission, uniform, and tool kit charges.

Campus Life

The college is completely involved in extra curricular activities. Various events are organised throughout the year and the college has multiple facilities like kitchen gallery, sports ground, and restaurant facility.

Admission

I gave my JEE exam that is affiliated by the NCHMCT. The other requirement for admission in this course was passing 12th with at least 50%. Since there are only 63 seats, the selection is not that easy.

Faculty

The faculty of my college is amazing. They taught us all the subjects with the help of presentations, lectures, and guest lectures. They helped us through all the ups and downs that we faced so that we can ace the exams and our career.

A PLACE TO CREATE YOUR FUTURE

Placement Experience:

There is a good placement cell in RIT Kottayam. From the 6th semester onwards students got placement training and career guidance classes and there are various clubs to improve your aptitude and chances to get the job through placement. The major recruiters of the campus are Oracle, Microsoft, Allianz, MRF, IDBI Bank, Infosys IBM, TCS, VVDN, WIPRO, Suntec EXPERION etc. There is about 75 % of students get placed every year. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

The hostel and college infrastructure are a little poor compared to other colleges but it is expected with the minimal fees given. There are a lot of festivals and programs and a healthy political atmosphere. The non violent conflicts between the two opposing parties lead to good development in the college.
