Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus and curriculum is very good. There are a large amount of subjects to study and many practicals that we have to attend and participate in. The labs are very frequent and you tend to spend a lot of time working or studyng.

Placement Experience

As a part of the course,the college offers 3 to 9 month long internship opportunities at very well reputed hotels in the UAE. Student Visas are offered by the college itself. There are placements drives , industrial visits as well.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The course is for a duration of 3 years and the total fees for the three years comes to a total of 3,38,800 Rupees. Some other fees such as IGNOU affiliation, University Examination Fee are extra. Uniform and other accessories you have to buy on your own.

Campus Life

The extracurricular acitivities are given a lot of emphasis at MCC. There are several clubs in the college and they are always accpeting new people. The college also has many different sports activities to participate in.

Hostel Facilities

The Hostel is very well maintained and clean. The rooms are tidy and have enough amenities. The Hostel is situated in a very beautiful area and it is a treat to be living in Munnar. The total Hostel fees for one academic year is INR 96,000, food and accommodation included.

Admission

To get admission in the college, first you have to fill the application form which you have to send to the respective center along with an application fee of Rs. 1000, by DD in favour of Munnar Catering College payable at Munnar/ Cochin or Trivandrum. To book your seat, you have to pay a non refundable registration fee of Rs. 15,000 which will be adjusted with the first year fees.

Faculty

The faculty is excellent. Many professors have a lot of experience in the culinary arts field and they are always hardworking and encouraging us to do the same. There is a lot of focus on attendance and regularity.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

I choose this course because it is rare and it have high potential in national as well international level. But in this college they don't have enough facilities to teach so it won't prepare a student for real-world application. They should include seperate good lab facilities for environmental studies,need permanent teachers and placement activities should be provided. Exams are semester wise and they are easy and easily prepared within short period of time

Placement Experience:

By completing the last semester students are eligible for campus placement. There is a very large number of companies recruited from the campus including IT companies like Infosys, Technocrat, etc. The average package is more than 15k.

Remarks:

The college is well known for inducing skills to students holistically. The facilities work very hard not just to complete the course but to make students fully aware about the subject matter. There is no political influence found in this college.
