Course Curriculum Overview

The bachelor of commerce had mainly theoretical subjects and several extensive topics on a particular course and subject. As the institute designed the structure accurately, it was easy for the students to finish the self-study before exams. Institute took main exams every year twice with all the subjects and along with it the academic submission.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement at the institute was moderate. Some firms came to the institute to hire students but gave somewhat lower than average pay as they preferred master? candidates. Students, who did good work during internships, were offered a job on a probation basis.

College Events

4

The faculty organized several events where students performed according to their choice in dance or music or some solo performance. Also, there were some festivals which were celebrated by everyone with joy and there the dean and trusties came to celebrate with the students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The most feasible fee structure was designed by this particular institute as per my perspective and the same was by other students in my batch. I completed my three-year bachelors?degree in only 6,310 only. Also, I paid the fees according to the semester which accounted for 2,370 for the first year and 1,970 for the next second and third year separately.

Campus Life

The students showed interest in several extra-curricular activities like tree plantation, National cadet corps activity held every weekend. Also, the student's diversity was rich with an almost equal gender ratio at the campus. We also had many sports activities which we played in our leisure time.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities were given to the students on merit-based. Students were given good facilities in which clean rooms, 24-hour electricity and enough water supply were provided. The hostel students preferred the food at the hostel mess and it was good but some ordered their food from outside the campus.

Admission

As I had a keen interest in the finance and accounts stream, therefore, I took admission in the Bachelor of Commerce at Tufanganj Mahavidyalaya. I got admission easily as my previous academic was good and the admission process was quite easy as I submitted all the documents I got my acceptance letter in one week.

Faculty

4

Concerning the faculty, some were very strict and some were quite liberal during the lectures and while delivering the complex content. However, they all delivered the exact content and made us write the notes on almost every topic of the subject.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The placements are really nice. Every year, a large amount of students are employed by Tech Mahindra, CTS, TCS, Wipro, etc. all software giants. The starting salaries are also decent. Most students get placed, but 100% placement has also been achieved by the college now.

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility usually starts in the final year, but there are limited opportunities. Some IT and outsourcing companies visit, but they offer low salary packages. The average package offered is not very high about 3-4 LPA and only a small percentage of students get placed. Many students prefer to pursue an MCA or learn additional skills like web development, data science or cyber security to improve their job prospects. After completing my BCA, I plan to gain experience in IT related jobs improve my technical skills and possibly pursue higher studies like MCA. I might also explore freelancing or certification to increase job opportunities. Since I already have customer service and telecalling experience, I may also consider IT support roles before moving into core technical jobs. Building skills and networking will be important for getting a good job after graduation.
