My story as a B.Tech student

We have a normal degree college infrastructure, there nothing so splendid for a government university. We have many events and inter-college competitions held in our university every year. There no discrimination in any field, let it be studies, sports or anything.

As per University Grant Commission (UGC) norms, the university follows CGPA pattern, which signifies similar course curriculum all over India, having various subjects included even of different department. This course curriculum helps to expand our knowledge and gives a chance to research and being a professional to achieve a successful career.

The placements and job opportunities count is high is our university. Our university also has a placement cell to guide students for a better career. As per seniors experiences, many students got placements in government as well as private sectors that deals with dairy and food processing such as ITC, Parle etc. Yes, the college provides good internship experiences with decent stipend, lot of adventure and an important certificate.

Unlike other government universities, the fee structure here is a bit high but is affordable for some students. For 4 years of graduation period one has to spend more than 14 lakhs, at least for my course I had to. The tuition fees every year includes Rs 3.6 lakhs which is inclusive of examination and other fees.

The college doesn't have much for extra-curricular activities but we have various cultural events like inter college youth festival, inter college sports competitions etc. We even celebrate events like Independence Days, Republic Days, Agricultural Days, Exhibitions etc.

The alumni come to visit our and share their work-life, experience and make a connection with every student and motivate their juniors. The alumni network are active in our university. The seniors are also very caring and kind.

I got admission in this college on the basis of merit. The B.Tech course for Dairy Technology is merit-based here. For PG courses the admission is based on student's performance in the relevant bachelor's degree and written test. For Ph.D students, the university conducts separate entrance and an interview and for MBA students the admission is offered on the basis of scores in written test and a GD interview round.

The faculties here are extremely helpful, have in-depth knowledge and clear every doubt related to the course without any hesitation. They provide their knowledge and also share their life experiences with us while teaching that helps us a lot in understanding the society. They are also very friendly and helpful.
