Remarks
The surendranath college for women was one of the prominent colleges in Kolkata. The college offers a lot of opportunities and facilities to the students. Many facilities like auditorium, library, laboratory, canteen, spacious rooms, sports facilities are provided. College management was also very good. Overall the college was one of the best college for women.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was very good and interesting. It was quite modified and well taught. It was a three years course. The curriculum includes lectures, seminars, workshops, study tours, audio visual aids and many interactive sessions. The exam structure was not at all hectic. The college conducts Internal assessment and final examination in each semester.
Placement Experience
Most of the students after completing their course, are found successful in their own career. The college organizes various career related workshops, seminars, conferences. There are many job opportunities after completing the course. We can get jobs in educational institutions, private companies, central and state government etc. Some of the students after qualifying their examination go for higher studies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees of the entire course was around 20000 rupees. My per semester fees was around 3300 rupees which was very much feasible. The total fees include tuition fees, laboratory fees, admission fees, library fees etc. I was very happy and satisfied with my fees.
Campus Life
The college organizes extracurricular activities to empower the students with right knowledge so that they can develop right attitude,essential skills and adopt right habits.Many extracurricular activities like yoga, athletic, annual function, sports day are organized in our college.
Admission
Admission in this college was based on merit. I got admission in this college after qualifying my 10+2 examination. To get admission in this course, students should qualify minimum 50 percent of marks marks in aggregate and 45 percent of marks in Economics and 30 percent of marks in Mathematics.
Faculty
The teachers inspires us a lot. They encourage the students to improve their attainment and develop their personality. They treat students with dignity. They are very responsible towards the students.
