Entrance Preview
IIT JEE, I scored 160 marks, I got this college because I secured 5485 rank. I had no choice but this college. I was allotted 5 year integrated course in Chemistry.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was excellent. In the first year it was like B Tech course then from the second year to final year it was total of geology stream covering all the subjects from Physical Geology, Structural Geology to Sequence startigraphy. Beside these subjects there were subjects belongs to management as managerial economics, operation management and industrial Psychology.
Internships Opportunities
Yes i got my summer internship in ONGC but i was paid no stipend. My experience in getting training from ONGC was excellent. I got all the supports from my mentor and I was trained about the working of ONGC in twom moths.
Placement Experience
Placement scenario in the ISM is excellent. there were 100% placement at that time. Average package was 5-10 lac per year. In ISM for geology branch there were more than companies who visit the campus for placement. The main companies are ONGC, Schlumberger, Shell, Coal India etc.
College Events
There were a lot of technical and cultural functions. We celebrated all the festivals there with batch mates. We enjoyed a lot there. There were departments oriented fuctions like mechanical branch had their own technical function. So there were a lot of enjoyment.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees structure was very feasible I paid 34 thousand for one year. there was a scheme for poor students. They did not have to pay the fees if thier parents income was below 2 lacs.
Fees and Financial Aid
There were a scholarship but did not avail any type of scholarship.there was a scholarship for poor students in which their fees were exempted whose parents income was less than or equal to 2 lacs. There was also education loan given by the banks which can by availed very easily.
Campus Life
Th campus life was very good there. there were no kind of bias mentality in the campus. all students were very supportive and kind in nature. There were also no ragging of juniors. There was sports meet every year. lab was very modern having all kind of facilities. There were a fuctions organised by mechanical branch only dedicated to the robotics. there were different kind of groups for developing the GD, auto cad, computer and soft skills.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities was very good. In first two years every student had share the room after that students got single room.Mess food was good atleast it was eatable.
Alumni/Alumna
College seniors are very good and helpful. they are always ready to help. they treat their juniors like younger brother. Seniors are also like teachers teaching the way of life. Giving funds about passing the interview for getting jobs
Exam Structure
Exam structure was very hectic. Every day there was a paper. we got only night time for the preparation and we had to appear for the examination next morning. Our exam use to finish in one week. I would say our exam structure was very hectic.
Faculty
Standard of faculty was world level. Most of the faculty received their Ph.D. from the Foreign University like Imperial college of London etc. Their knowledge was vast and they were also involved in Research programs.
