Remarks

DDE has experienced faculty , affordable fees and provide other best services. The college does not restrict knowledge to books but also tries to give exposure to the real world by giving research projects and more.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is a combination of practical and theoretical knowledge. B.com programme is a three year course and we have to give 5 papers each semester. Internal assesments , practicals and external examinations are also conducted.

Placement Experience

The placement wing of our college is very helpful to students as they give us the required training and knowledge about the placements. We have different workshops and seminars for different courses , personal contact programmes are also conducted to guide students .Day to day counselling programs is also very helpful.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is very basic and affordable in our college. For ba.programme and b.com programme , the fees structure is the same and the amount to be paid per semester is RS. 6,405. The detailed fee structure is given in our college website.

Campus Life

Our college organises several fests and events . Cultural and Academic Programmes and competitions like dance , singing and parliamentry debates are promoted which helps in gaining extra knowledge apart from educational knowledge. Sports and Yoga is also encouraged.

Admission

I took admission in this college because it is one of the oldest and trusted university of Jammu I simply had to follow the guidelines given in the official website of the college and before that i also had to check my eligibility criteria for my course which is also given in the official website.

Faculty

The faculty is very supportive and optimistic . They have always tried to maintain a healthy relationship between professors and students. All of them are very experienced and highly qualified. We have different course-coordinator for each course which brings smooth functioning in our college.

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

The Directorate has proper infrastructure in the form of halls for Personal Contact Programme (PCP), seminar presentation, viva-voce and counseling sessions. Directorate of Distance Education has also established a network of UG Learners Support Centres at Rajouri, Kathua, Udhampur, Bhaderwah, Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar to ensure effective academic and administrative support to distance learners. The Directorate offers an opportunity to the P.G. distance learners to enroll as NSS volunteers for their holistic personality development.
