Remarks
Overall, this university is quite good and provides the best distance learning all over Jammu that too with wonderful facilities and good staff. I am having the best time till now and hopefully will enjoy in future also.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is divided into 2 years and is segregated equally into 4 semesters covering all the major subjects of Economics. First-year syllabus id based on general Micro and Macro theories with an introduction to Math. Second year usually comprises Stats and Public Economics alongside viva.
Placement Experience
Placements and job opportunities in college is good and quite helpful to students. Generally, various companies participate and provides jobs in various fields . Also, University's Placement Cell helps students in preparing their Resume and CV.
College Events
University constantly organizes various social awareness programs and health camps to increase social awareness among resident and students. Programs such as YOGA camps and Swachhta Abhiyan programs are conducted annually.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure for M.A Economics is Rs 8060 annually which for me is affordable and convenient enough. Also, college provides students with various facilities and alongside good academics facilities so the fee is justified.
Campus Life
Directorate of Distance Education provides various extracurricular activities to students alongside academics. The campus consists of Sports grounds with the proper equipment and a Library with various journals to help you to study properly. Labs are also available for experiments etc.
Admission
I live near the Jammu area so I went to campus and asked for the application form and filled it. After that, through a merit list based on my marks from Graduation, I got enrolled in the university. Finally, I went to campus and submitted my documents with fees.
Faculty
Faculties of the Economics department are highly educated and experienced and thoroughly familiar with the course and its applicability. The department is headed by Dr. Neelam Choudhary who is Teacher In-charge and takes care of the concern of students.
