Course Curriculum Overview

In MBBS, there were subjects like human anatomy, medicine, gynecology, Dermatology, Anesthesia was quite complex and very challenging for the freshers' students but once we were familiar with it, it seemed easy. University took final exams every year and before these exams internal exams with the almost full syllabus.

Placement Experience

4

Before the jobs, students have to do a minimum of a one-year internship after the final year exams at the hospital itself. There were some great places offered to the students who had the relevant skill and higher academic scores in all the exams.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Almost every student felt the fee structure expensive as a total of almost 60 lakhs were to be paid to the admission department which brings the student to pay 11.99 lakhs per year which was quite a huge amount. There were few options for paying the fees in parts or installments for some students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship was hard to get but few were available at the university. I have seen and talked to some students availing loans for the payment of fees. There were government options for a student loan while some students preferred private sectors as the process was fast.

Campus Life

Many free health check-ups, blood donation camps, village visit, and check-up, expert and HOD seminars on varied subjects every week, freshers and senior parties, are some of the parts of the extracurricular activities at the university.

Hostel Facilities

There were separate hostel facilities for males and females to pay from a range of 16,000 to 24,000 per year in which all the services were included like food and all other necessary and appropriate services for the students. Boys and girls hostel had a separate building.

Admission

The students who have completed higher secondary education with 50% and NEET was compulsory for admission. Also, the selection criteria were based on the NEET UG scores and the merit list was out in a few weeks where the names of students are listed. The admission process was online and after that the student counseling at the campus with payment of fees.

Faculty

3.5

The most crucial thing about the faculty was that they gave respect to every student and had a professional nature while delivering lectures. They provide great practical knowledge at the hospital and during the lab sessions.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As i have opted the course B.Pharmacy! I rate the course as optimal, neither too bad nor too good, its medium! Now comes on teaching method, some teachers are really well and good and few are those who does not teaches but only writing writing, thats it, they will not explain at all! And one thing they should change is that All Courses except B.Pharmacy in Chandigarh University have the criteria to pass the student even below the 40% only or the half of the highest number scored by the topper in the class, and for Bpharmacy its minimum requirement to pass the exam is 50%, Oh My God! This needs to be changed, Now every year, in Bpharmacy, the overall 80% students are getting Compartments (Back/Fail) in the subjects, but the University is not understanding it all. So this should be changed as earlier!
