Remarks

No, bad remarks. They were the best days of my life and never going to come again ever. Everyone person in the world should experience it. When in college, didn't ever feel its importance but it is after leaving it when you realize the days you missed and days you cherished

Entrance Preview

IIT JEE AIR 2854 choose IIT Delhi mainly due to closeness to my home in ghaziabad and due to the rank constraint.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum was good. 90 credits for textile courses and 90 credits for other course in which you can pursue any course and even do a minor. I did a minor in Business Management by doing 20 credits of it.

Internships Opportunities

Only one company came for internship and took 3 students. No one wanted to go in it as it was in Kothapalli (Loyal Textiles)All went for self internship and no stipend was offered.

Placement Experience

2.5

Out of 96 around 75-80 were placed Many companies came to campus except only 1 textile company came- Aditya Birla Nuvo, which too only 2 students in which i got placed at a package of 8lpa other analytic companies offered- 5-7lpa. Flipkart and ola cabs offered around 11lpa

College Events

4.5

Rendezvous is a huge college event with various events including fashion show, dance competition, singing event, famous celebrity, etc. The event is on a very large scale with huge funding from various companies every year.It was managed completely by students

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is just feasible around 33000 per semesterand 18000 for messso, total 51000 per semester or 102000 per yearso, a total investment of around 408000 rs for a 4 year course

Fees and Financial Aid

No, didn't get any as my father's income was more than 4.5lpaAnd also, I was a general candidate, so, didn't get any. MCM scholarship was availed by many who were in reserved category and whose father's income was less than 4.5lpa, (mainly who benefitted were students whose parents were in business, so they used to flaunt expensive gadgets)

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio is very bad- boys/girls = 75%/25% hostel parties- every sem -> student teacher interaction event, house dayworkshops - mainly during rendezvous and tryst event politics was very high in hostels to get position. Religion- very diverserace-mainly asiangender-boys in boys hostel and girls in girls hostelmany extracurricular clubs like- astronomy, robotics, Enterpreneurship and Development cell, etcAlso, had to choose between NSS, NSO and NCC and complete 100 hours of them

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel rooms were below average, In 1st year, 3 students in a small room and then in 2nd and 3rd year, 2 students per room and then 1student in a room in final year. No AC or Cooler. So, make-do with only a fan no monthly fees to be paid, except mess fees which was 18000rs per semester Food was OK. Library was bad. Computer room, just fine.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is very good, and college seniors were really helpful when in college but you have to been in constant contact with them and help in there chores whenever possible. But all were really good.

Exam Structure

Exams held every month, so they didn't feel any different after the 1st year. Labs were more in 1st year for every one and then in 2nd and 3rd year, many textiles labs were held in a week. Took out most of my time.

Faculty

3.5

Some of the faculty are good and some are bad. All textile faculty was good except one or two. Mathematics faculty were all bad. Computer science faculty which I got were all bad. Management faculty were all very good

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant and comprehensive, with practical modules and industry-focused content that influenced my choice. It effectively bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. However, adding more case studies and interdisciplinary approaches could enhance learning. Exams are well-timed but could better assess critical thinking. Teaching methods would benefit from integrating more interactive and hands-on sessions.
