Entrance Preview

I scored 4843 rank in AIEEE -08 . I opted dce for its academic excellence, its brand worth outside and its location - delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Curriculum is lil outdated but they have revised it. Practical and theory both are equally stressed along with a good faculty support it forms a complete package.

Internships Opportunities

College internship experience was good. Learned a lot about how things are executed and works areplanned. Although paid internships are rare I was able to bag one.

Placement Experience

2.5

Jobs are good. 100% placements. Big companies like mckinsey and facebook all visit camapus. Avg package is 7lpa and cs bags highest package .

Fee Structure And Facilities

The most interestimg thing is fees. Being a state funded college, fees wad very ge uine and minimal. Fees was around 30000 per year. And hostel facilities are also 14000 only per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

None, As such I have not aviled any. But they do offer need based scholorship to underpriviledged studnets .

Campus Life

2.5

Competitions of robotics, ieee, esummit are best events Regular classes and industry intera rion os really good. I give 4/5 marks to dce on extracurriculars. Dce league, music bands and sport clubs are all availavlble to join.

Alumni/Alumna

Though a strong allumini network is not present. But people can be met anywhere around, and dceites do help help each other at different levels whenever rhey meet.

Exam Structure

Exam system is quite old. Paper pen style is used. Labs are good and fully equpped. They take approximately complete one semester to publish the results.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is very expperienced. All professors are either holding phds or masters in their own field. We use to work on the pracrical consulting cases with them to.

How Good B.Tech. from JAMIA MILLIA ISLAMIA is?

Likes

Here in Jamia the faculty is very experienced in their fields , they make you feel Engineering and not to just read books. there teaching methods are amog the top in the nation
the curriculum not just focus on your engineering but also focuses on your personality development.
the infrastructure itself gives you the feel of oldness and the reputation of the college.

Dislikes

one bad thing is its less availability of Hostel rooms .
there is a very strict rule of 75% attendance .

Placement Experience:

Placements at Jamia Millia Islamia are not too high or too low and depend on the branch. Students can apply for placements starting from their 7th semester. Big companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and some startups come to recruit. The average salary offered is between 7 to 8 lakhs per year, but there are not many students who get higher packages. About 40 to 60 percent of students get placed. Many students also work on getting into higher studies or look for jobs outside the campus after they finish their degree.

I like the infrastructure of my college. College have provided us AC rooms with clean washrooms. Qualified teachers. Maintained decorum. Most important it is a government college.
Smart classes are available in every room. Cantens are available.
There are many labs for every subject either it's of EE, ECE, CSE

Dislikes

New college so there are no societies or clubs.
Fees is too high for general category students.
No facilities of hostel available in our college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am an Electrical Engineering student. I chose this course because the demand for skilled Electrical Engineers is high leads to job security and also we can keep our options open for other fields by choosing this branch.

The Dream College Life

Likes

The campus is completely different from the whole city, it is more cleaner and is quiet peaceful with various different beautiful views at different points and is not too big so could easily walk through the campus.
Has really great architecture of the buildings and is surrounded by really intelligent people including some over the top profs and some really great minds from the country.
The night life is completely different and is one of the best part of staying in campus.

Dislikes

some of the hostels are quiet old and need renovation.

Placement Experience:

If you study passionately and have decent communication skills and some important competencies, I assure you that you will secure a position in a great company. Here at IIT Delhi, you earn what you work for; you can receive salary packages as high as 2 crores, but some offers start as low as 4 lakhs per annum.
