Remarks
The good aspects are the teachers and the quality of education. A lot of focus is on practical learning rather than just theory. A bad aspect is that it is too overhyped. Therefore when u actually go there you may not be very pleased. You have to give NPAT entrance exam which is held sometime in May. It's a known and reputed college plus it was in my city. Nah I didn't need any such reference.
Course Curriculum Overview
Because I've always been interested in numbers and finance. Therefore this was a great course for me. The student-teacher ratio would be 1:20. The teachers are highly qualified and have practical experience in their fields. They give industry examples while teaching. Term exams take place twice every year and are held as per schedule every time. They are considered difficult as they want to make sure you have understood the concept.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year students become eligible for placements. Various great companies like tesla, Barclays, etc have visited our campus. They give 5-10 placements on an average. The highest package goes till 50 lakh a year while the average is around 10-12 lakh. 40% of students opt for college placements. I'll probably intern for a year and then do CFA.
Fees and Financial Aid
They don't like the fees. It remains the same for all the years of the course so that's a relief. I'm still in 2nd year so haven't gone for any job yet.
Campus Life
Vaayu is the biggest fest in NMIMS. It takes place in December. It's a grand event going for 3-4 days. A lot of different things lead to everyone enjoying a lot. Classrooms are updated. They have e boards etc to make things very convenient. There is a proper sports club and there are many sporting events all across the year. We have an SRF committee which is for social work. They indulge in various interesting and useful activities all across the year.
