Remarks

Overall, you would have a decent experience, neither too bad nor too good. The colleges affiliated to this open universities are quite good; you can choose as per your choice and feasibility. The university is good and has a good reputation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It is a one-year diploma course in management. Unlike the regular MBA program where you have to spend 2-3 years, this program is quite feasible for most of the students, especially those who are working.

Placement Experience

3.5

The only drawback of studying from this university is that it doesn't guarantee you with a placement. Neither you will get any internship offer by the university/college. But you need not worry about getting a job as the certificate would help you a lot for finding better opportunities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for the entire program is much cheaper than what you would pay for a full-fledged MBA program. For the PGDM course, you have to pay only 26,000 rupees (approximately) in one year. This fee is inclusive of all the charges by the university.

Campus Life

4

The study materials provided by the university are good and come with the latest/updated syllabus. If you opt for open then you won't be going to college, otherwise, the campus life is good. Students of various backgrounds are found.

Admission

To get into the Post Graduate Diploma in Management program you need to have merit as per the requirements of the college. You also need to have completed your graduation with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Faculty

4

The teachers are good and have a lot of experience in the subjects they teach. You will find well educated faculty staff here. Besides studies, you can also seek their help and guidance in other things. They are very kind and helpful too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall PGDM course is significantly well-structured and includes a good balance of theortical concepts and practical learning. One of the several reasons I chose GIBS Business School was its industry-oriented curriculum, which emphazies case studies, live projects, internships and skills development alongside core management subjects.

Placement Experience:

Since we are going into our 2nd year, our batch hasn't been through campus placement yet. Based on previous batch records, though, students are typically eligible for placements from the 4th trimester onwards, once internships are completed. GIBS had a strong track record, with over 200+ companies visiting campus, including names like Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, Mahindra Finance, etc. The highest package offered was around 20 LPA, and average package was around 8.3 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. More individual attention and skill development can help students understand topics and mould into good clinicians.

College provides a proper assistance for placements, all students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there, placements starts for summer internship one two months after entering the college, the procee is on till maximum of students gets placed. In and arround 50-80 companies visit campus for hiring and offers is made to every possible students eligible. Highest package stands at 18 lakhs and is between 10 to 11 lakhs. Nearly every students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there. Ambition and aspiration in my views changes as time proceeds, so I believe in short term goal making, though my plans post degree is to get placed in an MNC to kickstart my career from good position, where learning graph is very high.
