The college is a decent and nice college in the south for medical studies. It offers a lot of courses in the field of medicine and there is a lot to choose from. There are both UG and PG courses with great facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The MBBS course duration is of five and half years including a one-year mandatory residential internship programme. It is conducted under semester system where students undergo theory and practical classes in nine semesters and four yearly exams in areas of medicine and surgery.
Placement Experience
The internship period is mandatory and the college assigns it to the students in the attached hospital for clinical facility for a period of 1 year. The students are even paid stipend for the same. They can later on apply as junior residents in the same or other hospitals in public or private sectors.
College Events
The college celebrates all south Indian festivals with full pomp and glory such as Onam celebrations with good cultural day vibes in the campus. There is sports day and cultural fest too for the students every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for the one year of the 4.5 years of academic course is ?49,078 which is considerable very less as compared to other medical colleges in and around the state. The college is government aided and hence it is quite cheap.
Campus Life
The labs are very nicely established and have been kept up to date with all equipment and necessities for the practical training sessions and classes. The college has recently built a sports ground for the students too
Admission
The college takes in students on the basis of NEET UG entrance. The candidates have to have science as their background and a minimum of 50% in the HSC with PCMB. After the counseling process, allotment of college is done.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are very well learned and professional in their work. The conduct was very executive. They impart education and training in different areas of medicine and surgery to the students.
