Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In the duration of three years, there is a lot of focus on the practical aspects. Financial and Corporate Accounting are the main subjects with the most focus on. The days were quite chill as the timings of the classes were flexible.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement cell of the college is quite average and there is a scope of improvement. Companies visit but the recruitment rate is not that high since professionals seek the ones with masters degree as they are more competent.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure for the first year fees is Rs2400 and I think it's quite affordable for anyone and everyone. The facility which is provided by the college is also nice and there is no problem as such as loans are provided too.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is really active when it comes to extracurricular activities. There are various events which are organized by the NSS division like Independence Day, Diwali Mela and AnnualSports Day. Various guest lectures are organized too.

Admission

The admission to the college for undergraduate courses is strictly based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations. The minimum percentage of marks required is 45% in the subjects chosen. Application forms are available online.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty members of the B.com course are really qualified and highly experienced. They taught us in a very subtle way and were very particular about the assignment submissions. An adequate balance was maintained between teachers and student relations.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.
