Since mine was a general BA degree without any specialization, there were a lot of different subjects to cover. The syllabus itself was also very vast and had a lot of subjects. There were plenty of elective subjects to choose from.

Placement Experience

The arts faculty has a lot of career oriented seminars and skills building courses available with regards to career and such. There is a career counseling cell and an expert comes in, whom we can seek for advice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is not very high, and it is quite low compared to other BA courses in Bengal. If your qualifying exam, ie 12th is from the West Bangal Board, you have to pay a fees of 3,825 Rs/- per year and for other boards the fees is 4,325 Rs/- per year.

Campus Life

The college has a very active students union and the students are encouraged to participate in it. The NSS and NCC cell are also very prominent in the college and the college has a very friendly and active environment.

Admission

The admission is based only on the basis of merit scored in the qualifying exam. You have to visit the official website of the college and go to their admission portal, and fill all necessary details and upload all the required documents.

Faculty

The faculty in general is very nice and they are always ready to help us out with any queries we have. The HOD of various departments were all very helpful as well. Many professors had PhD's and most others had PG and Mphils as well.

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

A holistic experience: my journey at CFI college of Law

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'd say the BBA LLB curriculam si quite relevent and comprehensive. the blend of business management and legal studies really made me choose this course because it gives a holistic understanding of both fields. The curriculum is pretty practical and prepares us well for real- world applications like internships and moot courts and also sets a strong foundation dor further studies in law. In term of Imporvements i think the curruculum could benefit from more interactive workshops and practical training sessions and somtimes a bit more hands on experience and indusry exposure help bridge the gap between thoery and practice. Regarding exams, I find the frequency and timing are well balanced. the semester exams come at a good pace and whike some subjects can be challenging they are definately manageable with consisnent study.

The applied for Chandigarh University.I got confirmed admission from the CU and AGC.I choose Asansol GIRLS college because it is affordable for my parents and it is near to my house..CU fees structure is very expensive. I didn't get any rejection from any other college that I applied too. The admission process of my college is very simple all you need to do to fill the form and provide necessary details of 10th and 12th exam. And submit after a month the list will be released on the official website of my college. After checking your name, you need to pay the require amount for the courses.. after few days they will call you for documents verification and there's no mandatory exams for admission, 12th result is sufficient.My overall experience is good....Read More
