Remarks

This college holds a good record for imparting education through distant learning. It works on the social development by creating and educating brilliant minds. It is one of the biggest colleges in the state of Punjab.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is designed for three years. As It is a distance learning program, it includes printed learning study material for self study, response sheets, assignments, E-learning etc. Even the study materials are provided in languages like hindi, english and punjabi.

Placement Experience

The placement has to be taken care by ourselves. This is a distance learning course so there are placement opportunities available off the campus. We get job by putting our efforts. I have got the internship opportunities also in the companies like NTPC etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The college offers very potential oriented course at the minimum cost. The fee for the three year course is Rs. 87,170. It can be paid in all the six semesters. It is very affordable and flexible to pay depending upon our comfort.

Campus Life

There is a huge library in the campus. It has journals, books and magazines for the reference of the students. It has education media centre which produces audio books for the students. It has geography lab, physics lab etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is good and we have interacted with them on social media. We can connect with them on several events. We share a good bond with the seniors. They entertain us and also acts as a guardian.

Admission

The application form has to be filled on the website. Later I appeared for the entrance examination conducted by the university. It conducts counselling after qualifying the exam and verify all the documents.

Faculty

The faculty members are qualified and efficient. They have worked on several research papers and have acclaimed themselves as an important asset to the college. They resolve our problems and never ignored us.

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Inside of PGI chandigarh from bsc nursing point of view.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

Course Curriculum Overview:

Application for this college is easy process. You just need to fill a form from dhe.chd.gov.in for which you have to pay very nominal fee ( i paid 70rs in 2023). Teaching methods are okay.likr there's so such thing that college is in Chandigarh so better teachers or something.

Good to go for this University

Since I am pursuing my BCom from us. So getting admission is quite easy you need not pass any entrance test and the admission process is totally online the minimum criteria to get admission for the BCom is 45% in your 12th examination. All the queries related to the examination whether it's application fees application form application dates can be found on the official website of USOL. Yes, there are reservation benefits Since I am from the general category I did not get that benefit but if you are the one who is from another category rather than general you can get a discount for the minimum fees. Honest review of USOL panjab university

I'm studying in 2nd year of BA in USOL and I can tell you the good and bad things about USOL then, Good:- this is an open university so you can study for any government exams like UPSC SSC and many more. The USOL gives you one-week offline classes for covering the syllabus and you can easily pass in your course. BAD:- I think there are not any bad things in this institute. Admission process:- There's an official website of the USOL for admission. You can easily register on there and fill the admission form and take admission. After that, you can do your payment online or post office and bank draft after your payment you need to go the university for face to face verification then you got admission in this open university. Reason for preferring this college:- you can study full time on your dream jobs like IAS bank PO SSC and many more.
