Remarks

I have a positive experience in this college so far. I am happy with the faculty and all the other facilities. It helps us to grow and be focused about our careers. It is a good college in the state of west bengal.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

It offers the course for three years. It is properly designed and provides vast understanding of the subjects. It follows six semester pattern and conducts the exams regularly. The course is overall good.

Placement Experience

2.5

I am still in the second year of my degree so I can?t comment more on the placement. But I have known that the college offers good placement opportunities. They get the best recruiters possible and tries to train the students for challenges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total cost for the three year course is Rs. 5,380. It can be paid yearly in three months instalments. The first instalment is of Rs. 1,860. The second and third instalment is for 1,760 INR. It is cheap and affordable.

Campus Life

3

There are various workshops and seminars conducted. It also gives us opportunity to participate in different sports like cricket, football, badminton etc. It celebrates Gandhi jayanti, Children?s day etc. important days.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni is good. They have set up a good example for us which we have to carry forward. I like the seniors. They never make us feel inferior. They are helpful and we can be dependent on them for any work.

Admission

The college takes admission on the basis of merit list. We have to fill the form online and then wait for the merit list to get shortlisted. It takes into the consideration the marks of 12th standard.

Faculty

3.5

It has experienced staff members. They plan their lectures well in advance and deliver the maximum results in the class. They are interactive and helpful. They show us the right path whenever we get distracted from pur goals.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because the curriculum combines clear theoretical foundations with strong practical exposure, and hands on session influenced by decision most. I felt curriculum was designed not just to teach concepts but to help students understand how those concepts are applied in the real situation

The exam pattern was good. Moderate paper was there. Examiner had done a great job. For the curriculum we always had to pay extra money. In our 7th sem, we had all India tour, we did have any practical classes or theory exam still we had to pay for the practical and library not only that we had to pay for the trip as well.

Bhawanipur Global Campus (formerly NSHM Knowledge Campus), Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Media Science)
Reviewed on Dec 17, 2024(Enrolled 2020)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.
