The course curriculum is very balanced and organized.There are a lot of practical sessions as well as a lot of theoretical sessions.The course curriculum is structured in such a way that it covers both of them.

Placement Experience

Internship is provided by the college.Students can also do internship in the college also.Placements are also provided.The average placement of this college is quite decent as compared to the amount of fees they are taking.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible and majority of the students can afford it.The total fee of MBBS ranges from 85,000 INR to 95,000 INR.which is very low as compared to a private college.The facilities provided by the college are also good.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities and cultural programs are organized by the faculty and seniors of the college.There are drama society, sports society, music society etc. in which students can participate.Also seminars and workshops of national level are held on the campus premises.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel infrastructure is average.The college has separate hostels for Girls and Boys.The food served in the mess is also good.The washrooms and rooms of students are kept clean.Hostel is hygienic and clean.

Admission

Jorhat Medical College is a government institute.It was established in 2009.It is affiliated to Srimanta Shankardeva University of Health Sciences and it is approved by the MCI.Students who want to take admission in this college have to appear for NEET UG with minimum of 50% in 10+2 and their subjects should be PCB.

Faculty

Usually the faculty of a medical college are doctors.Here also there are teachers cum doctors.Highly experienced doctors.They tell the students about the tough surgeries they have performed, guide them and help the students with their internships.

The college i study in is very good

Placement Experience:

Students from 5th semester onwards are ready for campus placements. The students from our college gets a very good college placement at a very nice company and salary. The percentage of students getting degree are 80% and my plan after my degree are to become "Company Secretary or job at SBI".

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

The practical learning of the subject. It provides quite deeo learning into each subject. As the course provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge it becomes quite easy to apply the knowledge to further academic of occupational pursuits. Also it provides 3 months internship after the completion of the course. The improvement areas are the teaching methods of some subjects like pharmacognosy, social pharmacy, etc. Exams are conducted in a time interval of every 2-3 months. The duration of the session exams are 1and half hours while that of final exam is 3 hours for each subject.
