Course Curriculum Overview

Our course structure is very good and they focus on theory, practical and research. Professors emphasised the importance of research and pushed students to take that as a career option. Exams and labs were frequent, labs were weekly and exams were in periods of three months. Days were easy because of the good outline of the course.

Placement Experience

Our college is affiliated to the Calcutta University . we have a large number of students who get placed every year. Reputed companies come here for placements and offer good packages to students with great incentives . our students get job offer also from these company for there better future life .

Fee Structure And Facilities

This college is very reasonable with the amount being just under 10 thousand for the entire course. This especially helped me since I don't come from rich family. i belong to the poor family but it gave me chance to meet my personal career goals without putting financial pressure on my family

Campus Life

. Students can also join various teams for sports, take part in parades, join the NCC etc.College labs are always open to the students who want to do their own experiments under the lab assistant's supervision

Admission

i applied online for admission in this college by using their using their online portal and filled all the question on the form and questionnaire.. After a month they posted a list of the selected students who were required to attend offline counselling. I attended the counselling, completed the application process and started going to college.

Our faculty are all highly certificate in their fields and are very highlight. They emphasise over significance of research and provide very good moral support and are also actually,interested in overall growth of students.

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
