Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum offered here by this college was beyond my words. Everytime when I used to write my syllabus in my copy I wanted to know about all topics at that moment only with this you can guess how interesting was our syllabus.

Placement Experience

Placement as well as internships opportunities was not good in MWC. Even many of my batchmates wanted to do UPSC preperation so they never thought of jobs. Still I talk about the average atleast 70% of the students got good jobs from our college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of Malda women's college was quite affordable if we compare it with other colleges and universities. They asked 3700 something for whole 3 years degree course. It gave us wide opportunities to do some coaching or training within the college

Campus Life

All the major festivals including durga puja, navo varsh, holi milan etc was celebrated in the college.Students from different departments used to come together to celebrate as well as participate in several cultural programmes and functions

Hostel Facilities

2 wings of hostels were there with each building having the capacity of 100 students. Yet there used to be a rush for taking hostels seats. Food charge was included with the hostel rent. Good facilities were provided.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were the best part of this college. I'm still in the touch with many seniors in jobs as well as personal related. In our college we used to have a list consisting of our alumnis who done something excellent in their fields and this always motivated us.

Admission

There were total I guess 900 seats for UG courses. Thus competition rate was heavy for getting admission here. And everything was depended upon our 12th boards marks. Even My sister had her UG degree from here

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of MWC was quite qualified. This college showed one basic thing everywhere that way, they believed in quality but not on quantity. Every professor here was equal to 5 professors of other colleges in terms of their experience and knowledge.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
