Management is lacking in so many areas management courses getting more weightage over master program,placement cell should work more effectively on building carriers of students.

I have cleared MHCET Exam for MCA entrance i scored 101 marks and my percentile was 95,Somaiya management is one of the named college for management courses and I got it immediately as my percentile were good.

It is 3 years program divided in 6 semestersevery year 2 semesters december and june,every semester will have KT system where we get more chances to clear subjects,Maths and other programming languages will be included in every semester,6th semester is internship program where we need to work on live project in company and then submit and present your project work in front of examiner.

I have completed my internship from L&t infotech. It was great learning experience both college and company people helped me so much to complete my project effectively I enjoyed working with them,got to learn so many new things which were helpful for the carrier development.

Placements for the college were not so good they did not bother about who is placed where only few people got job during placement programmer,management just ignored the fact that its their responsibility to help everyone to achieve their placement job.

Seniors will give freshers party to juniors and juniors will give farewell to seniors while leaving college apart from this two parties there are multiple events which will consist of different games,competitions,college will be decorated with theme,different college students will come and participate in different events from rangoli to quick presentation all kind of events will be done multiple seminars will be held which are very useful for future and learning new things.

Fees are very much expensive compared to other colleges it is almost double with compared to other colleges which is not at all suitable according to services and facilities provided by the college we need to pay fees every year there is option to take loan from bank and pay the fees.

There was a facility for minority students no there scholarships were provided,loan facility was provided by bank educational loan and tata scholarship was provided but that was not related to college.

Campus is biggest in all colleges of mumbai big chess board to play nice garden to hangout roof compartments to sit and chat with groups,liabrary is very big with all new technology facilities,Multiple competitions will done like debates,online gaming,dance. Amphi theater given to watch match series with big stadium like seating arrangement.

Hostels were clean but 3 people will be accommodated in 1 room which was little not comfortable food was not at all good from mess but canteen food was good hostel were clean and tidy with proper light systems and all amenities security for hostel was-good adies and gents hostel buildings were different laundry service provided separately.

Alumini parties will be kept every year for all alumni students to connect with their juniors,Invitations will sent personally via phones,big events will be kept,dinner parties and juniors can easily interact with seniors,alumni committee is working on keeping track of data for all alumnies.

Exams will be semester pattern total 6 exams in 3 years and 6 labs practical along with internal which will be evaluated on basis of weekly exams as well as presentations and project work which will be given in between sometimes it becomes hectic to manage everything but its not too hard if you are not keeping work for last day and doing it regularly.

Faculties are very friendly and supportive,lectures were very interesting they give more attention towards practical knowledge as compared to theory. There guidance was very much valuable for every step of life every exam and its preparation was great fun with them instead of tension they encouraged us to explore new and innovative things and take part in extra curriculum activities.
