Remarks

The college is nearer to my home so that there was no need to stay in hostel. I was admitted under NRI quota and only few procedures were there to take admission.My college had very strict rules. In case of studies, it was a boon but in case of other enjoyments, it was not good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the faculties were qualified and provided quality classes but due to some reasons, most of them resigned from the college after each semester and during each new semester we had a new teaching staff.The number of faculties with respect to students was very low.All the exams were conducted on time but the pass percent was too low mainly because of the reckless behaviour of university.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 95000 per year

Placement Experience

Only a few small scale companies approaches our college for placements and among this only a few students gets placed. The students are placed at low salary packages.

Fees and Financial Aid

College yields a huge amount of fee from the students. The students have to pay extra amount of fees each year, which shows a great deviation (more than 10000) from the fee that they offered at the time of admission.

Campus Life

We had arts fest,sports and techfest in our college.Apart from this, we had onam celebration and ifthar celebration. Arts, sports and tech fest are conducted in even semester. We don't have any fests in odd semester.

IIIT KOTTAYAM - a Honest review

Placement Experience:

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

CSE student at JEC

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

There are many Ai seminars arranged in our college to help with job opportunities and ideas.Ftom what I heard there are quite a good amount of placements offered in the college.My plan in the future is to go for mtech course in quantity surveying.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The length of course curriculum is very short. It is very difficult for both students and teachers to complete the syllabus in limited time period.The exam timing are also very conjusted and students are facing many difficulties because of it .

IIST - A good campus to live but with high restrictions.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is there in the campus.A lot of companies visit to the campus. From this year more private companies are visiting because of the breaking of bond with ISRO due to which students are getting good package.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
