Overall it is a decent place and is located at a prime location as in near to Supreme Court and major companies so is a preferable option.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well balanced. There is one Internal of 20 marks, a project alloted of 10 marks followed by a viva of 10 marks thereby making it a total of 40 marks. We are compulsorily required to do one internship at the end of every semester and a total of nine Internships to get the degree. If a student is unable to fetch Internships on his own, college provides decent Internships to all students.
Placement Experience
The not so good thing about the college is that it does not provide placement to students. Though there is a placement cell, students are only provided with internships and not placements as such.
College Events
There are a lot of events that happen around the year. There is Symfiesta i. e. the fest, Aparajit i. e. Sports fest, Symbiosis Model United Nations, Debate Competition. There are various societies in the college such as drama, literature, debating, mooting, music, etc which organise competitions and take part in various competitions outside campus.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is 2. 5 lacs per annum for 5 year law integrated program which is a bit expensive as compared to other law institutions. The college accepts payment through an online gateway of SIU, online banking or in Demand Draft. There are no as such additional charges paid to secure the admission.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not opted for any education loan. Symbiosis does not however offer scholarships to students of any course.
Campus Life
Gender ratio is almost equal in the college. It is a small campus with 2 canteens. The College conducts workshops for studies pretty frequently like twice a week. There is absolutely zero ragging in the campus and environment is strict in discipline. Sports fest and other events are organised by college time to time and cultural evenings are organised every month around fest time to give students time to interact.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are triple sharing and have AC and non- AC facility both in separate buildings. Non AC rooms charge around 1. 6 lacs for a year per student and AC rooms around 1. 9 lacs. There is both vegetarian and non vegetarian food in mess for students with non veg being served at alternative days.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are pretty helpful and are ready to guide you with your projects, extra curricular and anything and everything.
Admission
I wanted to pursue law filled form of this college and we were required to go throughout an entrance exam followed by a round of Personal Interview. Generally, three merit lists are released for selection and you are given specified time to pay fees and confirm the admission. Symbiosis has a good reputation and Noida being near to my hometown, it was a suitable place.
Faculty
The faculty consists of equal male and female teachers. A few of them are excellent in their area and subject while some are not that good. However, all teachers are approachable and fair in their teaching approach and posses relevant qualifications. The tentative number of lectures devoted to each subject are around 50-60 hours per semester.
