Remarks

One of the best college is NIT-Raipur to pursue the engineering studies and get a professional training to excel in life. The management is very much cooperative and supportive towards students in all matters of professional and personal concerns.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.E. Course at the college is a 8 semester - 4 years degree programme. The fee structure is quite reasonable and is in line with the MHRD Directives. There are several engineering disciplines that comprises of Computers, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgy, Civil, Mining etc. The college has several clubs and organizes several events, conferences, seminars etc. for the students that help them to improve the industry interactions and keep abreast with the latest.

Placement Experience

4

This college offers several opportunities for its students to get internships at the most reputed companies across India. Almost all students get good placement from almost all branches. The companies get registered at the training and placement department of the college, then the students are informed accordingly for the placement drive, they get trained for the process and then the placement test is conducted by the recruiting company that results in the letter of offers. Companies that usually visit the college campus includes Infosys,Wipro, TCS, L&T, Reliance, Aditya Birla Group, Coal India, SAIL etc.

College Events

4

There are several Tech and Cultural Fest organized at the college campus. JESID is once of the very famous fest at the college. The Students from across the Raipur city are invited from various prominent science, engineering, medical & arts college to attend the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of this college is in accordance with the MHRD directives and is very affordable and reasonable. The fee can be paid by DD or online. Fe structure is fully transparent with no hidden charges. My program fee wayback in 1995 was approximately 10,000 for all 4 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not opt for any educational loan. However, there are several scholarships offered by the college based on the merit cum means, merit base on 12th percentage etc. The scholarship provided during my time in 1995 was Rs. 1200 per month for the 12th merit base students. Students need to apply at the college admin office for the scholarship based on the notice issued with all the credentials.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio in the college is very good. There are 3 separate girl hostels and about 7 hostels for boys. Each hostel celebrates its own hostel day with grand dinner & dance party. The gender ration is almost 6:1 in all branches of engineering. There are no issues with the girls and the college is quite safe for all with strict rules and regulations.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college has huge campus and several hostels for boys and girls separately. Each hostel has entertainment facilities, canteen etc. All rooms are very well ventilated and spacious with separated cupboards for each roommate. All rooms have sufficient fans, tubelights, study table and chairs. The rent was somewhere 2000 annually in my times in 1995. The mess charges were approximately 600 Rupee per month.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a dedicated alumni network of the college students on whatsapp, formal and informal. There is a college website which has alumnus section and all alumni are well listed with their whereabouts for help of all the current and passed out students for all needs and supports. The alumni also funds the needy alumnus in case of any emergency issues in terms of medical or otherwise. There are several alumnus group across the world based on the regions and locations of the alumni network.

Admission

I had taken admission through the erstwhile M.P.PET Exam which is not there now. Nowadays, the admissions are through JEE Mains. Candidates need to apply through JEE and based on the ranks obtained in the JEE Mains Exam, candidates are allotted different branches and admissions at the college.

Faculty

4

The college has top rated faculties in engineering and they have several years of industry and academic research experience. They are generally PhD & M.Tech. from premier educational institutions from across the country. They have certifications and accreditation in their respective fields from the premier institutes.

Placement scenario is so good as per the stats . Like students are eligible for placements from there 7th sem . No. Of companies visited is around 200 (guess). Offers made 600(guess) . Highest package is 65 lpa , and average package is 9 lpa there are major two roles one is core engineering get role and other is non core data analyst role . 86 % students are placed last year . My plan is to get good placements from college itself and then after experience I will go for MBA or higher studies .

Course curriculum is very outdated and here the facilities more practical and they believe that if you want you can do other field like non-technical fields and something like government exam. There course or syllabus is not industrial ready.

Internship for the third and final year students, but not paid mostly. Placements are very few, don't expect placement from any government college in Chhattisgarh. Work on your skill. Companies like Adani came for placement for Mtech mining students. Highest package is of 3.5 lpa, He works in Bangalore. Other students do master. I am working in my skills and I will try for off campus placement or I will go abroad for master or job.

The college was established in 2009 and is therefore still growing. The staff and facilities are working very hard to create exceptions and achievements. As the college is comparatively new from others. Therefore, more hard work can be seen in the part of faculties. This gives students studying now a great advantage to learn and gain more.
