The Best institute where you can polish your all rounder talents.

I have not found any bad remark for this college because it is overall the best in Chandigarh and also among North West Indian institutes.

There are many industrial visits almost every week organised for the students. The interested one can attend those and can groom themselves to the fullest as there is no lack of facilities by the institution. As college is affiliated to Panjab University which is one of the oldest University, the syllabus is quite vast and full of interesting subjects. The college provides approximate 350 combination of courses with the variety of new subjects and one can choose according to his interest any of them . For instance, I had the subject combination of Human Rights and Duties, History and Elective english with two more compulsory subjects. Many international conferences and seminars are held in the college by time to time. So overall it is the very grooming experience for every student to be the part of such a prestigious institution.

Many companies like google, amazon, flipkart etc. had visited during my course. They took some sort of test on the basis of which they were going to place students in their company. There were many internships like in the field of mass media, mass communication, web designing etc. in the college but I have not availed any of them so I don't know the deep details of it but I am sure that all the details will be on the official site of our college.

Talent Hunt - for judging the various talents of students in different fields and the unique talents are presented in the magazine and students are further promoted to high level competitions. Youth festival - The students are selected here for the big inter college and then inter University competitions . This Youth Festival is very famous in the Panjab University as it give special weightage to the prize holders in this festival. Our college is awarded with the all round best trophy in youth festival in the year 2016,2017,2018,2019 continuosly. Literatis - This is the same as I give details above about the literature festival organised by English department. Joy of giving - Many small small activities are organised by the students with teachers and various stalls are placed there . The funds raised in this event is given to the charity. Annual sports day Independence day Republic day Departments like English, commerce, science has organised many festivals under different names and themes every year.

Fee Structure is same in all the colleges of Chandigarh . There is no any different fee structure. My semester fees( for six montgs ) is aprroximate Rs 8000 And the Hostel rent is also about Rs 6000 for six months and the mess fees is approximate 3000 per month .

The college offers many scholarships to the meritorious students as well as for poor and needy students. The notice regarding this are shown from time to time on official site qs well as on the each notice board of college which specified the eligibility criteria and procedure to apply for the same

The institution is only for girls and there is huge variety of students from different states like panjab , haryana, himachal,manipur, ladakh, rajasthan etc. There are computer labs opened under skill india program. A well equipped sports department is there with gym facility and a trainer.

i took hostel accomodation which is the brilliant one among all the hostels I have seen of other institutions. The rooms are spacious,neat and clean . They are on sharing basis but room are sufficient to share with individual balconies, cupboard,table , chair . The washrooms are also very clean and of modern style. PG's in Chandigarh are quite expensive as compared to the Hostel and are very conjusted . They charged minimum of Rs.5000per month per bed and food facility is also excluded in PG's .

There are many alumni of our college who are celebrities, IAS ,IPS officers or in other fields. They come to interact with students and shared their experience and inspire them in many ways.

I saw it ratings on various sites and read the reviews of alumni. It attracted me to get admission here. My admission under Bachelor degree is on strictly merit basis. I registered online for it in the month of June and the first merit list appeared in the mid of July followed by the various counselings. The process is very transparent and all the deserving candidates got admission accordingly. Hostel accomodation is also on merit basis for which the score goes very high ,minimum 85% and more .

During my time, there were 15 to 20 teachers in the Department of English. All were well qualified and experienced teachers with doctorate degrees from well known national or international universities. Most of them were in the age group of 35 to 55. They taught particular area of the subject in which they have their specialisation. So in this way the learning become so easy and helpful for the student. ' Literatis', a literature festival is organised every year by the department where many contests like short story writing, novella writing, poem recitation, slam poetry , poster making etc are organised which see the hidden talents of students in the field of literature and groom their talents accordingly by taking them further to inter college festivals.
