Remarks

I heard alot about the college. The infrastructure, faculty, environment, everything was amazing. Teachers were cooperative. Numerous of courses and degrees are provided for every field. There were so many sports and games for students. Gym and Library was also there. I am extremely grateful to be the part of it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I opted sociology. The teachers were amazing who taught us that. I even opted honors in sociology so for that the teacher was different but was great as well. The environment was soothing and friendly.

Internships Opportunities

No. They didn't provided us the internship but yes they provided us the placements. Not everyone was lucky enough. Only few students got the placements. Not much preference was given to jobs or such. You need to find that yourself.

Placement Experience

2

They didn't provided us the internship but yes they provided us the placements. Not everyone was lucky enough. Only few students got the placements. Not much preference was given to jobs or such. You need to find that yourself. Good luck!

College Events

5

We have enjoyed many different festivals, events, youth fest, theatre fest, flash mobs, etc. Everyone was welcomed with open hands to join the varieties of cultural activities that took place in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is fine. The general class category has to pay the highest amount but still it wasn't like the private colleges. It was manageable. The SC and OBC class can get some relief. The fee structure was overall feasible. All the best if you are looking forward for a good college. You can opt this one.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can take the loan from bank. I don't know about college providing it or not. Scholarship was there for bright students. Who use to get good marks get the scholarship by the college. I don't know the descriptive knowledge about it.

Campus Life

3.5

We have enjoyed many different festivals, events, youth fest, theatre fest, flash mobs, etc. Labs were also there. Everyone was welcomed with open hands to join the varieties of cultural activities that took place in college.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I didn't went to hostel. But facilities provided there as what my friends told was fine. The maintenance was also fine, but can't say up to the mark. Nobody was allowed to go out after 8pm. The mess was also there.

Alumni/Alumna

I heard alot about the college. The infrastructure, faculty, environment, everything was amazing. Teachers were cooperative. The alumni and seniors were good. No ragging was allowed. They were helpful qnd cheerful.

Exam Structure

Good. The exams were conductedin different classrooms with different subjects students like we all had in school. There was one or sometimes two Invigilators there. The examination pattern was fine. The rules are strict. No cheating was allowed.

Admission

Through the merit list. The students who scored more than 60% in their 12th were given the preference. Though my score was 65% so I got it without much struggle. You have to score good to get admission there because competition out there is really hard.

Faculty

5

The faculty was so good. If you are looking for a good college and teachers, you can go ahead to PGGCG-42. It is affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh. One of the best college in India. Faculty is so cooperative and helpful.

Placement Experience:

Numerous companies keep collaborating with the university and many students are placed every year. The minimum value of package is 3.5Lpa and it goes up to 12Lpa depending upon the course and the ability of the students My plan after this degree is to clear the net/jrf because i want to be a professor in my respective subject.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is lengthy and monotonous. It is time consuming and the semesters are short. Usually a semesters lasts for not more than 4 months we get very little time to prepare for our exams. Also the syllabus needs to be updated and changed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best thing about this curriculum is that it is non very burdensome for us and easy to navigate through. It is well divided into multiple units making it easier to navigate through. For example - there is this course of key concepts in the very first semester which lays foundation for upcoming all semesters. Similarly in the first semester, we are taught Constitution of India laying the basics very clear . I personally choosed this course due to my interest and it's application in almost every competition exam out there. There can be a little bit improvement regarding the introduction of research methodology courses. Since there are no courses yet, it often cause a problem for students who want to pursue PhD in future. The frequency of exams is fine enough as there is a lot of time for us to adjust in the new semester and enjoy all the curricular and co curricular activities without a constant load of examinations all the time. This is the best thing I find.
