Pretty much relevant even since our times. In our times Electronics wasn't there as a test subject in NET/SET exams (mandatory for Research Scholarship & Lecturership). However now the subject is being dealt exclusively even by NET/SET. If you're driven by the firepower of dreams and have a big vision, this place is more than perfect to realise the same.

No placements or internships during our times. However there is a palcement cell taking care of those things now.

Birthday Bashes and New Year celebrations were mostly celebrated in our times. 25 years have passed now. And the department and Campus must have undergone a sea change by now. I am connected with the HOD, Prof Sharma of Dept of Electronics on Facebook.

Not only feasible, but the most affordable indeed for the value it imparts. There were hardly any additional charges in our times. Of course hostel boarding and food expenses will be extra. In 1993-95 period, the course fees was somewhere around Rs. 1,000/- per annum.

Neither of them as my father managed it for me. Hostel stay kept me off from family, I missed my family very badly at times. But the solitude strengthened me and my will from inside.

Campus life was very vibrant. Students of various departments used to greet each other with smiles. The campus canteen was a familiar spot for stress busting and celebrations. We never had things like gender ratios in our minds. To us, male as well female classmates were one and the same. So was the case with our faculty and HODs as well. The girls of Biotechnology, Zoology, Pharmacy, Botany and Chemistry were pretty outgoing.

Yes, I had to stay at the hostel as my home was some 36 kms away from the campus. Again, the hostel fees was hardly Rs. 50/- per month. The Mess charges during that period were aroudn Rs. 150/- per month for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Hostel rooms were simple - no air conditioning (as it was not required then). There used to be a colour TV at the reception where hostelers used to gather arounf in evening hours or to see cricket matches/ European soccer.

I amnot in touch with any old classmate/junior or senior alumni. The only one in my contact is the HOD, whom I alwaysadored and respected as he taught me Electronics during my graduation as well. And yes, he is most helpful to me as a mentor.

Some of my college mates had sought admission there. So even I went there and got myself admitted. The admision process was simple. I brought a prospectus with admission form. Filed out the form and submitted the same along with course fees - I was admitted.

Our HOD then used by Prof (Dr.) GN Navaneeth. His kind words always inspired students like us to dedicate 100% efforts to our studies - theory as well as practicals. We also used to have guest lectures in the Department of Electronics. In 1995, the Department of Physics used to be a full-fledged one, whereas the Dept of Electroncis was just in nascent stages. Now it is evolving into a big player.
