Remarks

College administration was very supportive to the students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Helped in my service ( in MOD) as Metallurgist. In the interview of my entry in service, my depth of chemistry was assessed. The basic of metallurgy is in chemistry and I cleared AMIE (Metallurgy) within a span of three years. From college, as students, we had an industrial visit in chemical factories.

Placement Experience

4

In one go in the recruitment in Ordnance Factory as Metallurgical trade in middle level management cadre.

College Events

4.5

Technological and cultural events from time to time on the college campus. Participated in debate and group discussion in intra-college and inter-college events. College annual cultural functions were very attractive and colourful. In the Science division, the innovative displays were conducted in the annual programs.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Programme fees were not charged from the students. Every expenditure was transparent and in audited form would be displayed in Notice Board. Apart from regular tuition fees, for the Chemistry honours courses extra fees were changed which was affordable to everyone.

Fees and Financial Aid

Govt. Education stipend was awarded to me on the merit of my Higher secondary exam result. Annually the stipend was rs 1500.

Campus Life

4

College life was very enthusiastic and motivational. The gender ratio was approx. M/F=3/1. Students were from different religions, race and economic strata. The political environment in the college was cordial during the annual student's election. There was comfortable tolerance among the students without any caste and creed.

Hostel Facilities

4

No, I did not avail such facility. My residence was nearby at my college. For very few students residing far away were in the privately arranged Mess. The college did not have such a hostel facility during that period.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors were very helpful to their juniors and in the library, they would help the juniors in selecting the technical books with notes for study. The same tradition was followed in years.

Admission

I was fond of the subject Chemistry and opted for Chemistry honours courses in the college. The admission in the honours course was counted totally on the higher percentage marks obtained in the science subject in the Higher secondary examination. Directly contacted college administration with my last exam marks sheet and requested to get admission in B. Sc. Chemistry Honours course. I got the admission without any hassle.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty members in the Chemistry department were very helpful and supportive of our practical classes. In the Chemistry department total seven faculty members and two laboratory demonstrators. The faculty members were highly qualified and clarity in teaching the respective subjects appreciable. Faculty members and students relationships were as friendly and cordial.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think I'm a curious student. Integrating biology with technology is interesting Recently we are studying animal tissue culture plant tissue culture which is superb. Generating a plan from a single cell is truly something interesting. I was drawn to genetics and biotechnology application . This curriculum prepares a student for research and industrial purpose . We get to do lab experiments project work under professors. In my opinion improvement can be done by industrial visits Exams take place at the end of each semester and we have mid sems in between

My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

College does provide internship opportunities both through the placement cell as well as department faculty. Semester 5 and Semester 7 students are eligible for placements. Average package is about 5.5 lakh per annum for microbiology course. Although placement percentage is on the lower side majority of students go for higher studies. Many prepare for exams like GATE, IIT JAM, etc.

college placements are good in this college with a number of good financial and consultancy firms coming in with new gen companies as well in the service and sales industry. moreoever getting a good placement in a top financial or consultancy placement requires a POR in a good society as a criteria, its not really required but adds to your chances of getting it. moreover you require to participate in a number of case study competitions for the same as well. my plans after graduation is probably working for a year or two after which i plan on doing my MBA. around 50-60% who apply get a placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance as moderately relevant. My decision to choose this course was primarily influenced by its research learning facility and practical based learning. The curriculum helps each individual to prepare for further comepetitive exams and expanding their jobs option with full and profound knowledge of data based works and computer skills. To enhance the course curriculum and teaching methods , I would suggests dedicating deep learning with lots of real life examples, updating the syllabus to recent advancements Providing recorded lectures would be of so much help and providing more opportunities for students to present their work giving them detailed feedback would improve the skills and learning capacity of the students.
