I was interested in Mechanical and on the rank I got it was the most favourable option with good placements and strong academics and reputation. The college is of national repute with well qualified faculty. Also it has lot of extracurricular activities to keep yourself engaged and follow your interests.

The course structure was recently upgraded to CBCS system. It gives you a lot of options to choose subjects you want to learn also it includes a lot of labs and a industrial visit . The academic schedule is hectic with 4 times exams in a semester also the syllabus is quite adequate and gives industrial exposure. Most of the faculty members are PhD and are pretty good at teaching with in depth knowledge. One of the most experienced and well knowledged teacher was Mr. D P Mishra , vice HOD of mechanical department.

Almost all big recruiters visit the campus with almost 80% placement . Some of the recruiters are TATA,IOCL,BOX8 ,FUTURE FIRST. Placement process consists of a aptitude test followed by a personal interview. Placement department is good and works hard to get the best recruiters onboard. Notable alumni-Hemant Soren(CM of Jharkhand) The alumni network is great and helps a lot in internships and placements. There is no startup as of now as it is too early for 2nd year student to think of a startup. Entrepreneural cell is active and conducts many guest lectures and seminars for students although it hadn't had any great achievement as of yet.

Campus life is one the best part of the college with many extracurricular activities. Tech fest- PANTHEON - a large tech feats with interesting competition but not the biggest event. Sports fest-Vajra- various teams of various colleges participate in it for a huge prize money consists of almost all sports. Cultural fest - BITOTSAV-one of the biggest cultural event with stars from all over India performing with lot of other competition. Other than this there are various clubs and societies which function to take part in events all over India.

The campus is one of the biggest in country area wise with almost 800 acres land and almost whole campus WiFi equipped. The institute supports all sports and has all kinds of sports facilities with a new gym except a swimming pool. The library is good but not the biggest but still has many relevant books of student's need and it requires improvements. Almost all labs are present and are very well equipped except few in which the machinery is old although they work perfectly.

Hostels are good with single occupancy second year onwards with WiFi and the size of the is big enough for a single student. The mess food from second year onwards is also very good and healthy.Anyone can get a hostel room there is no shortage of hostel rooms. The hostels are cleaned on a regular basis.
