Remarks

VIT is one of the prestigious universities in India. After not getting selected for any good IIT's and nits. I choose VIT due to its high MHRD ranking and I scored a very good rank in VITEEE so I got the CSE branch.

Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus is fine it's moderate. Ya, we got provided enough industrial exposure. Some of the faculty is very good. Subramanyam reddy and Ashwin Ganeshan among them. Overall faculty is above average. The course infrastructure is good.

Placement Experience

Many top companies come to the campus e.g; Microsoft. Last year (2020) approx 20 students got placed at Microsoft with the highest CTC 42Lac. The alumni network is very good they are always connected and their's mode is online. UNIVERSITY has a separate portal for alumni.

College Events

There are two main events organized by vit one is Gravitas which is a technical event and another one is Rivera which is a cultural event. In gravitas no. Of participants is approx 10 thousand and in Rivera no. Of participants is approx 15 thousand. Gravitas is a 3-day fest that happens in the fall semester and Rivera is 4 days event that occurs in the winter semester.

Campus Life

Sports facilities are good. Every semester college organizes 2,3 sports events. Wifi is good too with an avg. Speed of 1mbps. The university has a separate lab for every subject the equipment is good too. Timely it got changed.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is very good. There are 3 gymnasia 2 cricket and football ground. there is 2 indoor stadium as well. You can Google for more information. There are 18 permanent and 6 temporary men's hostel and approx 7 girls hostel

Self studying college with no enjoyment

Placement Experience:

Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Only a limited number of companies visit the campus. The common recruiters are mostly mass hiring IT service companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture, and a few local startups. Core companies rarely visit the campus. Very few students get placed directly on campus. For example, in my batch, less than 25–30% of students received offers, and most of them were in IT support roles rather than core engineering jobs. Salary Packages –Highest Package: Around 4.5 – 5 LPA, offered by a software company. Average Package: Around 2.5 – 3 L

Course Curriculum Overview:

From my higher education in school, I am interested in maths and programming. So I decided to take my cse course . The curriculum covers most of the areas of computer science and the syllabus is updated more oftenly. The staffs have great knowledge on their handling subjects.
