Remarks

I chose this college because It is near to my hometown. It is a government college under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. The college fees is not so high. It is located at safe place. My school seniors also recommended me same college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty is good and dedicated. The college has a set of dedicated and professional government teachers who are ready to help students to improve their knowledge level. The curriculum is decided by the university from which it is affiliated.

Placement Experience

There are many opportunities, like for example, the college provides training once we reach 3rd year for placements and internships through placement training and placement centred workshops. The college is able to provide more than 75% placement.

College Events

The college conducts a wide variety of activities for the students. There are various clubs here which conduct many workshops and contests for the students to engage in. The teachers provide their full support to the students and motivate them to participate. The location of the college is safe. Incase of emergencies, hospital is nearby.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

The admission process began with myself being ranked at 20k in the KEAM examination where i was alloted to college of engineering and management, punnapra on a merit seat. The cut off was approximately 25-27k for computer science engineering.Prior to that,in the first allotment i was alloted to college of engineering kottarakkara, Kollam.
