Remarks

Scholarships are available in IGNOU for students with low income. Events are conducted in IGNOU. College surroundings were good, and the connectivity was more. As far as the placements are concerned, the college is good enough as students who are pursuing their graduation from distance learning programme are considered as graduates with great skillets and knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Faculty members in the college are generous and helpful. They are ready to motivate students at any time. They help the students with their extracurricular activities and projects assigned in their academic schedule. They also offer live projects.

Placement Experience

3

As far as the placements are concerned, the college is good enough as students who are pursuing their graduation from distance learning programme are considered as graduates with great skillets and knowledge. The placement cell plays a significant role in formulating the students' academic performance into the skills needed to get placed. The salary package offered was only up to 4 LPA

College Events

4

Events are organised every year and whenever required. The campus crowd during the events is always awesome as students from the distance learning programme are assembled together to make the event a successful one.

Campus Life

4

All the amenities in the college are well maintained. From classrooms to labs and recreational areas, the development rate is quite high. Although it is quite an old university, they are able to maintain the campus well. Auditorium, placement cells, and labs in the college are spacious enough to accommodate students at a higher rate.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
