Entrance Preview

The college is affiliated to IP University. So there is a common entrance test IPUCET. The admission in different colleges is on the basis of rank secured. I preferred it because it is location as it is well connected to metro and the main reason is MAE branch is available only in few colleges and NIEC is one of them.usually the MAE branch cut off goes upto 15000 here.

Course Curriculum Overview

There is common syllaybus in all ipu colleges and the exam is also conducted by ipu.The teachers of main subjects are well experienced and well qualified while there are also teachers not too experienced but well qualified from top institutions.There is no need to buy books as it is provided from college(book bank).Notes are provide by the teachers.

Internships Opportunities

I am in 2nd year so no internship experience. In Every session students are given live exposure of current industry scenario by eminent dignitaries of different industries. Campus is already approved by "INFOSYS" for their placements and labs are approved by "TCS iON Assessment".

College Events

The biggest festival is the annual college fest conducted in mid march.Last year badminton player ashwini ponappa and MP Manoj Tiwari were among the guests. It is basically a techno cultural fest where you can enjoy both cultural activities and also showcase your techonlogical projects.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think there is a scholarship for minority students. I dont have much knowledge about this.I know that the college provides some scholarship for econmically weaker section as per university rules.

Campus Life

99% of the crowd at NIEC is from Delhi.with a variable boys to girl ratio ranging from a healthy 50:50 in the CS/IT department to just 3 girls in the Mechanical department. Overall the crowd is decent and doesnﾒt seem to get involved in too many fights or tussles.The campus is moderately big with a lush green lawn and a great looking building occupying most of the area.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors here are very cooperative and are always ready to help you.I havent heard of any case of ragging. They are always busy in socities (which they want their juniors to join) and projects.i dont know about the Alumni network.

Placement Experience:

The placement was not too good it was bad the main reason was like it have not in better place if student want to grab an offer he do offcampus apply so they get job .The companies visted our collage was tcs ,infosys , wipro and sometime Amazon. The highest pacakge was offers in 2020 for almost like 30LPA after that non of them get that much placement .In simple wprd you are the reason of your too get placed in companies . In our collage not fang companies offerd placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Placement Experience:

From 6 semester all students are eligible for campus placements there are almost more than 30+ companies come to make offers and don't recall the names but almost 34 lakh per annum is the highest package they offer and some lucky students also get 80 lakh per annum package almost 80 percent students get placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The corses are well designed And related to your curiculum evey course are relevent for student the course they provied in first sem are Math,computational thinking,Intoduction to south asia,ENG,Phy. most of collages have mechanical in their first sem where they have to do weilding ,crafting etc which have no use in course of CS.
