Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology(BIET) is a government-aided engineering college in Suri, West Bengal. According to Seniors, More than 65% student placed every year. Salary offered by various company in the range 25000 -70000 per month basis. Recruiter like JMC, Pinnacle,Capgemini, TCS,Wipro, Infosys, TechMahindra recruits many of them. And also BIET Professor's are very helpful, knowledgeable and well qualified. Some of them completed their M.Tech and B.Tech from IITs. Their teaching quality is also good, and they help students with any topic.

Except Mechanical Engineering department I think all the department had enough facilities and lab assistant. Computer Science having the best one. Our department teachers are very helpful on the campus as well as outside the campus. Each year, the department organises an excursion, and they also conduct an industrial tour. From the tour, we can gather more knowledge for job purposes. Course curriculum is relevant when the students get enough expenditure for grooming in their respective fields. I can't say about others but students from this college with these poor atmosphere and grrom there were not definitely ready for industry.

The institute has a dynamic Training and placement cell which is operated by experienced officer from Kolkata and assisted by other senior and experienced faculty members from the co-ordinational wing at the college. 50% reduction on tuition fees with general rank holders upto 30,000 in WBJEE & 3,00,000 in JEE (main) along with 60% marks both in 10th & 12th standard. College provides active guidance for availing loans from various banks and other resources. The college is having a dedicated team to guide the aspiring students to help starting from the applying loan and upto the enrollment in college

Excellent facilities and infrastructure are available in our college. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled and also the hostels. There is a digital library rooms which is for accessing international journals. There is another library for reading books, which is fully air-conditioned. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Senior boys hostel and junior boys hostel are also separate. Hostel like East 1, East 2, West 1, West 2 are for the senior students. Each hostel has separate canteen facilities, and the quality of the food served is good. The college has its own ambulance and buses.
