Remarks

The management is not very active. There are many blackboards which are broken from corners. Benches are very old. Needs very much renovation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college comes under University of Calcutta. So, all the exams are conducted by the University. There are several other colleges under the University. So, all have to sit for a common exam(from the subjects they choose) every semester and get evaluated by the University. Now coming to my subject which is chemistry. The University syllabus is quite vast and it allows us to learn as many things as possible while in bachelor's. It also helps very much to prepare for all india entrance exams as the syllabus is very similar with rest of India's other universities.

Placement Experience

0.5

No I didn't have any internships yet. But I intend to do so in near future as my subject is very enthusiastic and it teaches to learn many new things everyday. The college doesn't provide any placement according to my knowledge.

College Events

4

Every year there occurs fresher's cultural programme for the newly admitted students of that year, which encourages them in their future days to learn new things. And there occurs 'Social' festival every year where many renowned artits of kolkata or India performs where majority of the students participate. Along with these there are several other festivals like 'basanta utsav, departmental fresher's etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very nominal. A middle class stydent can afford them easily. But also there are scholarship available for very poor students. The college has complete transparency in fees breakdown. No additional fees have to paid in order to secure the admission.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

No, I was not eligible for any scholarships provided by the college. They offer scholarships to very poor students as well as those students who ranks 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the college combining all the departments.

Campus Life

2

Gender ration is almost 1000:800. No such cases of tolerance against gender, race or sexuality have I seen during my college. There is students union where selection occurs every year. They are helpful towards any concern faced by the students and helps them very much.

Alumni/Alumna

My personal experience with ny senior students was not very good. Our senior was very egoistic and they think we are their servants and doesn't behave very well.

Admission

I got admitted in 2018. From this year, the admission process began to conduct online. We had to fill the online application form from the college website and the merit list was produced according the 12th board results and the selected candidates were approved to pay the requisite admission fee online l. That's how the admission was processed.

Faculty

5

Our faculty (Chemistry) is one of the most wonderful faculties according to me. There are 2 regular full time teachers in each of physical, Inorganic, organic chemistry departments. They provide veey goog knowledge which helps us understand the subject better. There are about 180 theoritical lectures and 60 practical lectures each semester. The other departments (Physics n maths) that I know of, are also very good, enriched with intellectual professors. But our department is the best.

Reviewed on Oct 5, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum matches quite perfectly with the industry standards. The course offers the students a theoritical as well as a practical approach of learning. For example, nowadays AI has revolutionised the internet and made things much easier for humans. it gives a vast amount of knowledge regarding the relevance of "media science" nowadays. I feel the frequency of continuous assessments should be reduced to 3 instead of 4.
