College of Technology, GBPUAT Review

I think it is the best college in Uttarakhand, if one is looking for good education. I'd surely recommend it.

The course curriculum is good but I don't think is best. Here one can learn programming language like C, C++ & JAVA. However, Python is still missing. So, I think course curriculum is fair. Faculties are also good except few ones. Practical Labs are also well equipped.

Placement is average. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Hero & other leading companies come here for placement. Also, our university is doing gemreat for preparing students for placements. They try to organize various workshops & courses from time to time. I have not availed any internship till now.

Various small & big events are organised in our college from time to time. Some of the top events include Kisan Mela, Induction event, summer party & annual fest. If I talk of Kisan Mela, it is quite big and lit of people participate in it from Northern India.

Fee is quite expensive compared to other colleges. Even more than private colleges. In MCA, we have to pay someone between 1.2 to 1.5 lakh per year. In this fee structure, hostel facilities are also included. Yes, fee breakdown is quite transparent.

I have not opted for any scholarships or education loan. Of course, college offers scholarship facilities but not for all students. It is quite limited tk either girls or no General students.

Gender ratio is quite good & 40% students are girls & rest are boys. Yeah, students are allowed to do parties in their dorms but without making any disturbance to others. From time to time our college organize workshops and courses on self improvement. Everything else is quite fine. There is not such thing as politics here.

Yes, I have opted for hotel. If we talk about hostel rooms, then they are quite good and single room is available for each individual. The only problem is that heavy electrical equipments like room heater & iron is not allowed. Also the dinning facilities are best.

Yes senior students are quite helpful. They do help us in dealing with any situation in the university.

I have opted for this course because I want to became a software developer. I have choosen this institution because: - it is one of the best govt colleges in my state. -it is near to my home, so I can go back to my home at weekends. -I have head a lot about its popularity. For admission, I have first filled the entrance examination form in the late March. Then, I have to give entrance examination. After that we have got merit list of those who are selected based on their rank. And, then we have called for admission counseling.

In order to interact with faculties, we have to go College. Along with that, we also have online classes which held in Google Classroom. Talking about industry experience, I don't think teachers do have any industry experience. However, they guide based on whatever they know.
