Remarks
The college management is greatly helpful. There is no bureaucracy and things happen quick and fast. Unless other government institutions, NIT Calicut is digitalized and highly modern.

Campus Life
Great campus life. People in Kerala are awesome and very friendly. No ragging, and they don't let you feel discriminated. Good food in the mess, North+ South food mix. Veg/ non veg options. Lots of activities in hostel including sports, cultural events, social awareness drives etc. The hostel are not unisex and girls hostel complex is situated away. Student diversity could've been better, it's heavily inclined towards Southern India

Admission
The college shortlists students on the basis of their CAT scores, previous academic records, and work experience. Interviews are conducted in the month of March-April in for metro cities. The school of management studies-SOMS, began in 2009 and is one of the most prestigious departments of the otherwise technically oriented institute. The faculties are well experienced and there are lot of opportunities to leverage proximity with IIM Kozhikode. Placement facilities are top notch and enterprises such as TCS, Federal Bank, Indigo paints, South Indian Bank along with several other companies have picked up students from SOMS recent years.
Faculty
There are aplenty of lecturers in the MBA department, with PhD professors in the field of operations, finance, marketing, data science, Systems &IT, and human resources. There are also several PhD scholars assisting professors in their teaching. The teachers are well versed, easy to approach and impartial.
