Remarks

College education and teaching faculty is good in college. Campus and canteen was also good.

Course Curriculum Overview

Internal and external exam conducted in college in 2 term like duration 6-6 months. And internal marks there were assignment and project need to be submitted. As I was b. com student so basically no on-campus placements for us and also no industrial visit.

Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements was not for B. com students. For professionals course students placement was available like TCS, eclarix etc.

College Events

Our college hend fasion show cocenrt, Mr. And ms. Freshers, fresher party, friendship days and traditional festival celebration, casual days like chocolate day, twins days, dancing and singing competition, Quize, debate competition, on diwali fest some traditional competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is one time fees payment during start of the year during admission. Fees was feasible and less expensive for b. com students. Mode of payment was DD only. There are no extra payment for securing admission. Yes, they provide fees receipt with all details.

Fees and Financial Aid

Don't have idea if they are providing scholarship to students and I did not opt for any education loan.

Campus Life

50:50 ration of girls and boys. Every year there is fresher party organise by senior stundents and very good environment in campus. Every year college organise reunion. There is no any cases of gender or politics issue between students. During the whole course of graduation there were no signle case of raging.

Alumni/Alumna

As there were less interaction with senior stundents. But never have any bad experience with senior.

Admission

I select B.Com because of financial issue as there was less fees in B.Com as compared to other professionals course. S. k Somaiya college is one the reputed College in Mumbai and so many friends were already that time and a big college campus was major attractions among the student. 1. Fill the online form on college website. 2. On basis of marit list I got the admission. 3. Sumit the receipt of online copy of form submitted along with other educational documents on college office once my name came on merit list.

Faculty

Normally 4-5 lecture per day, average age was 32-45, Qualifications of faculty like C. A, M. com and M. A etc. C. A professor teaching subject like Accounts, management accounting B. com and M. com was like for business communication and environmental subjects.

Placement Experience:

There are no campus placements offered in my college. The placements after completinh the course are great About 80% of students are placed. The highest package offered/expected for bcom course at this college is 5 6 lpa, About 90% of the students get internships easily with this course at the position of bank accountants etc.

Soumya Vidyavidhyar is Superfluous!!

Placement Experience:

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Mithibai College of Arts is Music to ears!!

Placement Experience:

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.

I applied to KJ and Rizvi as well and got confirmation from Rizvi, but after comparing it with SK Somaiya in aspects such as sports and curriculam, SK Somaiya was the best fit for me. I did get rejected in KJ Somaiya because of my marks in 10th, KJ is known to have the highest cut-offs. The admission process is centralised and is done on the basis of merit and seat available. Life at somaiya

So basically I wanted to join somaiya Vidyavihar only it was a dream college for me and the process was like we have to apply or registered online on their portal then you all have to wait for the merit list if your name is there they then you will get a mail for the admission process where you will get an so my as mail id which is for educational purpose or any details or any information about the college or about the campus the svv net ID portal which will be provided in the mail from there you have to fill the form and you have to pay the fees online offline is not allowed like everything you have to pay online and after that when you will go to the college you have to collect your ID's before that you have to take appointment in that portal only in the ID Card section and then you will get an ID from the college campus...Read More
